Session Info

For outdoor sessions I am a natural light photographer, working with many locations. Together we can choose a location that best meets your needs for the look you are going for. If you have a special place in mind, I am open to new suggestions as well! All outdoor sessions are scheduled for about an hour before sunset in order to give you that golden light you see in my portfolio.

The length of the session will vary depending on the kind of session. For a baby/toddler, they typically go about 30-45 minutes. Any longer than that and the kids are over it. I don’t want to push it longer than they are happy for to get the best results. For a newborn, it can take up to 3 hours, depending on how much the baby wants to stop to eat. We’ll stop to feed as much as necessary. For couples/maternity, the shoot takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. These times are all approximate and may vary greatly, but this should give you a guideline to plan around.

It is advised that you book at least a month in advance. For maternity shoots, it is best to schedule them for between 32 and 35 weeks. As you grow you will know best when your belly will be the right size, so we can adjust the date if you feel the need. Newborn shoots ideally take place between 6 and 10 days old, so they should be booked at least a month before the baby is born.

Don’t go crazy picking out outfits that you won’t feel comfortable in, we don’t want you to feel awkward during your shoot. Choose bold colors, nice outfits that you would wear every day. If you need help I will walk you through putting your outfits together.

Be yourself. I know how it can feel on the other side of the camera, so the best thing you can do is relax and pretend we’re just old friends hanging out. That is how I work – we chat and I get to know you, and you [and your family] just do your thing. You’ll forget the camera is even there. I can’t wait for your shoot!

Hi Jess,

I was wondering if you have any availability to photograph my two daughters, who are 20 months and two months?

Look forward to hearing from you,

Many thanks,
